At Helping Hearts of VA, we are committed to supporting individuals on their path to recovery through evidence-based, compassionate care. We offer two levels of outpatient substance use treatment to meet the diverse needs of our clients:
2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides structured, therapeutic support for individuals who require more intensive care than traditional outpatient services, but do not need 24-hour supervision. Participants attend group and individual therapy sessions multiple times per week, focusing on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, life skills, and peer support. This flexible program allows clients to maintain work, family, and community responsibilities while receiving the support they need.
2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our 2.5 Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a higher level of care for individuals in need of more comprehensive day treatment. PHP provides a full-day schedule of clinical services, including group therapy, individual therapy, psychoeducation, and medication management (as needed), five days a week. This program is ideal for those transitioning from inpatient treatment or requiring more structure and support than IOP.
Participants in our PHP program may also be connected to recovery housing to help provide a stable, substance-free living environment that reinforces their treatment and supports long-term recovery.
